The Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay competition accepts screenplays and TV pilots.  AFF is also one of the best festivals for networking, as Atlanta continues to become one of the three major hubs for filmmaking in the US.

Austin Film Festival has always prided itself on being the festival that focuses on stories. It should not be surprising that the screenplay and teleplay competition is also considered one of the prestigious in the industry.

Bloodlist is the premiere contest for screen and TV writers who love horror.  Bloodlist was created to shine a light on unrepresented voices in horror, thriller and sci-fi genres. Over 40 major studio films have been produced by Bloodlist writer alums.

DIFF partners with Event Horizon Films to host an annual screenwriting competition where writers can submit their shorts, features or TV pilot scripts. Every submission receives a scorecard from a major representation company reader. Winning screenwriters are exposed to high-profile industry experts and receive a variety of prizes and networking opportunities.

Final Draft’s Big Break is feature and television screenwriting contest designed to launch the careers of aspiring writers.  There are 11 categories the chance to win up to $80,000 in cash and prizes, including a trip to Los Angeles for a series of A-list industry meetings with managers, producers and executives.

For the past 20 years, Hollywood’s most influential producers, agents, managers, and development executives have judged the PAGE Awards contest. As a result, many past Winners have secured representation, landed script assignments, signed option agreements on their work, and had movies and TV shows produced. 

Tony Cox Screenplay Competitions recognize emerging writers in film and television.
